Why Are You Here?
Most people are not interested in history, but without knowing how history progressed, it is not possible to properly understand the events happening in the world today. World leaders, without knowing where belief systems come from and how entrenched in tradition they are, will underestimate the dedication various groups have. Secular leaders who are not personally dedicated to a belief system will not be able to understand the mindset of those who will die for their belief or faith.
This site is designed mainly for four categories of people:
- Those who are honest in heart and want to know the truth, but may be discouraged.
- Religious people who know something is missing in their experience, and know in their heart there is more.
- Anyone who is honest and is frustrated with religion in general, but against Christianity and Judaism specifically.
- Those who are simply curious or who have simply stumbled onto this site by providence.
This site will mean little to those who are closed minded, argumentative, and are satisfied with their lives. To this class of people the following quote applies:

It is my belief that there is a compelling reason why there is a specific chain of events that have transpired from Biblical Abraham to the current conflict in the Middle East. I also believe there is an explanation as to why there is so much confusion and tension in the religious world today which has led us to the current crisis between the Judeo/Christian world and Islam. The explanation and conclusion of this site is most likely not something that you have previously considered.
George Barna is the founder of The Barna Group, a market research firm specializing in studying the religious beliefs and behavior of Americans, and the intersection of faith and culture. Brad Scott of Wildbranch ministries, in his CD presentation entitled Messianic Movement 101 shared the following cogent comment from George Barna. His statement is important to understand for Christians living in Christian America who are watching Christian morality, in a country where 85% of its population claims to be Christian, take a back seat to secularism in our post-Christian world. The elections of 2012 underscore this fact.
“The problem facing the Christian Church is not that people lack a complete set of beliefs; the problem is that they have a full slate of beliefs in mind, which they think are consistent with biblical teachings, and they are neither open to being proven wrong nor to learning new insights.
“It may well be that spiritual evaluation is so uncommon because people fear that the results might suggest the need for different growth strategies or for more aggressive engagement in the growth process. No matter what the underlying reason is, the bottom line among both the clergy and laity was indifference toward their acknowledged lack of evaluation.” -The Barna Group
The purpose of this website is to challenge you to conduct an internal audit of your personal belief system. The information contained in this site will provide you with an overview of religious and secular history so you have a better idea of the complexity and interconnection of events that led the world up to the current conflicts we are facing today.
The world today is not the world many of us grew up in as children. Events are happening at a rate today which creates information overload in the minds of many. It is difficult for young minds to keep up with the rapid changes that are taking place today; not to mention the stress that constant change causes to an older mind. Society today, in spite of all our conveniences, creates stress that was not present thirty or forty years ago well before the creation of the Internet. Cognitive Dissonance is a reality and is being felt by an increasing number of people. To many the answers they used to have are no longer sufficient to explain the world around us.
Today information is traveling at the speed of light. The volume of data used to be stored in megabytes, but that was short-lived and has increased to gigabytes, terabytes and now the world is pushing the petabyte range (1 million gigabytes or 10 to the 15th power) and possibly beyond to exabytes. The sheer magnitude of these numbers is almost incomprehensible. Understanding the vast amounts of information seems impossible when our society communicates in sound bytes, text messages, and tweets. Whatever happened to the deep thinkers? Where is our society and the world headed?
This site will provide historical insight into these questions and more, and attempt to demonstrate, through the extensive use of charts, graphs, and illustrations, a flow of history that will surprise you as to the conclusions that are drawn from the historical record. I will focus on the main issues facing the world and each of us today from a Judeo/Christian perspective, and will attempt to demonstrate the consistency of the Bible as it relates to history. Many today doubt if there even is a God who oversees the affairs of man. I hope and pray that the information shared will help you, from your perspective, to see something meaningful to you personally.

Once a person is presented with information, that person has an obligation to determine for him or herself whether or not what was presented is true -and if it is, to obey and follow that truth. This is the only way true peace in your life can be achieved along with the confidence that you are not believing or following a lie.
